On September 4, 2024, Charles College, in collaboration with Cambridge Global Consulting (CGC), successfully hosted the 7th Annual CGC Talent Conference at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The conference, themed "Smart Mobility 2.0: Future Cars and Flight," brought together industry leaders from Tesla, SpaceX, and Faraday Future to discuss the future of transportation and technological innovation.

The event highlighted emerging trends in smart mobility, leveraging advancements in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and big data to revolutionise transportation systems. Through keynote speeches and thought-provoking panel discussions, participants explored groundbreaking applications in logistics, emergency management, and real-time traffic optimisation.

Held at UCLA’s picturesque campus, the conference attracted over 100 elite professionals, with more than 85% holding doctoral degrees. CGC’s founder and chairman of the Institute for Technology Innovation and Development (ITID), Mr. Zhang Tingrui, opened the conference with a powerful address.

"We are proud to create a platform that connects talent with opportunities. Soft power, driven by talent and innovation, is the cornerstone of global development, and our goal is to build a vibrant global talent ecosystem," Zhang remarked.

The ITID has been pivotal in funding and fostering groundbreaking research, helping over 80 researchers secure more than $80 million in grants. The organisation collaborates with leading institutions across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, creating opportunities for innovation and cross-border exchange.

The conference’s roundtable discussions featured distinguished panelists such as Tesla engineer Dr. Peter Shi and Faraday Future’s former global engineering lead Dr. Geng Niu. These experts delved into cutting-edge technologies shaping future transportation, including electric propulsion systems, autonomous vehicles, and sustainable design.

The event concluded with a formal gala dinner, where attendees engaged in meaningful discussions, exchanged ideas, and celebrated shared visions for the future.
